Diggerland Ride Guide - Devon, Durham, Kent and Yorkshire
Rides at Diggerland rarely suffer from long queueing times. This just makes rides on offer at Diggerland even better value as all the main Diggerland rides are included in the entry fee. The number of times you can ride a single attraction is unlimited at Diggerland, choose your favourite and ride over and over again!
Diggerland Train
The Diggerland Train is a dumper truck pulling carriages around the park. This gives the riders plenty to look at and for many their first dumper truck experience! The little ones will love the novelty factor!
Spindizzy
Spindizzy serves as Diggerland's main Thrill-ride. This ride is effectively a JCB, swinging daring visitors at a huge height, in its scoop. This Diggerland ride has an advantage over many other thrill rides in that it isn't computer programmed, this ride is operated by member of Diggerlands staff team. This allows the ride to be as crazy as you want it to be. Each single operation of this ride can therefore be customized, for example, a younger set of riders are thrilled easier than a group of adults, or so the story goes! Hold onto your hats and be spun crazy!
Buried Treasure
Find Diggerlands Buried treasure! Only not the conventional way! Each rider has a large scoop attached to their JCB, there are 7 metal shapes to be found amongst the sand by each driver, unaccompanied drivers must be 5 years and over.
Skittles
The Diggerland Skittles alley is quite a challenge and you will need to hone your driving skills, if you want to beat the other challengers. A large, steel ball and chain is attached to the arm of the JCB that you can be in charge of if you are over 5yrs. Passengers of 2 years and over are welcomed. Ridiculously large skittle pins are laid out some way ahead of you. The object is to knock as many skittles over as possible while competing with fellow riders.
Dippy Ducks
With similar JCBs to Buried Treasure and Skittles, three ducks need to be rescued from the pond using a hook added to your JCB arm and your man-oeuvring skills alone....No waders allowed! You need to be 5 years and over to drive on this one, although passengers of 2 years and over are welcome!
Sky Shuttle
There is no driving involved on the Diggerland Sky Shuttle, it is more of a ride...A static digger raises you high into the air. Check out the huge drop beneath you but before you panic about the height, look around for a breathtaking view over the Medway. The kids will love being in the scoop while the adults discover the view.
Bob the Builder Mini Diggers
Diggerland has a guest, Bob the Builder comes over regularly to help out at Strood. The younger ones in the family will love this real life version! Riders and Drivers are given the option to manhandle the diggers in a massive sand pit.
Land Rover Safari
The back of a Land Rover sounds like it would fall short when being compared with Giant Diggers but this Diggerland attraction is nothing short of fantastic. Certainly not for the faint hearted. Take a ride round various slopes, hills and even through one of the many water courses. The kids will find this an absolute scream, as for all the older generations, you may want hold onto your hats, its wild! You need to be 3+yrs to ride in the Land Rover and must be over 100cm tall.
Dirt Diggers
Diggerland provides a whole host of construction vehicles to ride and drive, Dirt Diggers is an opportunity to test your co-ordination, huge quantities of earth need to be moved from one side of the attraction to the other. Competition between drivers is often fierce, (particularly between the adults!), so prepare yourself for digging under pressure!
Giant Diggers
Probably some of Diggerland's heaviest machines on site, these diggers are sure to get an equally massive response from all those looking on! This attraction generally attracts as many adults as kids....This is proof that you are never really over the hill!
