Cabaret - Songs from the London Show

Cabaret - Music

Music: John Kander and Fred Ebb

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome,
in cabaret, au cabaret, to cabaret!"

"Life is a cabaret old chum, come to the cabaret! "A musical full of spirt that evokes a feeling of nostalgia - walks along rickety piers, dancing clowns in a Big Top tent waiting for the circus to begin or simply jazz hands.

Bouncing beats, 30s orchestral percussion, pianos and strings make this musical entertaining and at times dazzling. The 30s "golden era" of music is reflected in the tone and rhythm of the musical, every note is perfectly played with emphasis on the emotion and every little nuance is exactly as Kander and Ebb intended.

Cabaret - The Soundtrack

The songs do not necessarily sweep you along so much as take hold of you, each one allows the audience to slip out of the theatre and into the Kit Kat Klub. For any fans of 30's music, cabaret or musical entertainment Cabaret is the musical to see.

The soundtrack is based on the original score from John Kander and Fred Ebb, remaining faithful to their artistic vision. Listen out for the title song Cabaret and the particularly entertaining Willkommen.

Other songs included in the sound track are, Don't Tell Mama, Why Should I Wake Up?, So What?, Money, Meeskite, If You Could See Her, It Couldn't Please Me More, Tomorrow Belongs To Me, Two Ladies, Married and What Would You Do?.
