Roger Allam returns to the West End stage this year in the new production of the Marc Camoletti and Beverley Cross play Boeing-Boeing. Originally opening in the 1960s, Boeing-Boeing was adapted into a feature film starring Tony Curtis and the hilarious Jerry Lewis. It became one of the most popular comedies of its time and is long overdue a comeback. Catch Roger Allam in Matthew Warchus's production of Boeing-Boeing at the Comedy Theatre from February 23rd 2007.

Biography of Roger Allam

Roger Allam was born in North London on October 26th 1952. He played the part of Inspector Javert in the original production of the now West End classic 'Les Miserables'. As a regular performer on the stage, radio and big and small screens Roger Allam has gained much respect for his skills as an actor.

After achieving critical and commercial success for his theatrical works, Allam ventures into the world of television and film. His performances in such popular dramas as The Bill, Spooks and Inspector Morse brought him to the attention of a much wider audience. Allam went on to star in several hit feature films including A Cock and Bull Story, V for Vendetta and The Queen.

1993 - Nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for his role in 'City of Angels'.

2000 - Allam is nominated for the Best Actor award for a star performance in Summerfolk.

2000 - Scoops the Best Supporting Actor at the Laurence Olivier awards for his performance in 'Money'

2002 - Wins the Olivier Award for Best Actor at the third attempt for his role in 'Privates on Parade'.
