Adam Garcia began to dance at the age of seven. Although he was not initially interested in dancing, Adam attended lessons so that he could spend more time with his best friend! Adam quickly discovered that he loved dancing and performing. Adam Garcia trained in performing arts and dance at the prestigious Capital Dance Studios in Sydney, Australia. Adam Garcia is now a professional dancer trained in ballet, jazz, tap and classical ballet.
Adam Garcia has a diverse range of talents and interests. As well as dancing, Adam Garcia plays the guitar and the piano. Adam Garcia is an environmentalist and a very keen science fiction fan who claims that Star Wars films are among his favorite movies. Adam is also the co-founder of successful male dance troupe, 'Tapdogs.'
Adam Garcia left University to assume the role of 'Slide' in the musical production of 'Hot Shoe Shuffle.' The hugely successful musical toured Australia for two years before moving to the West End in London. Garcia stayed in the West End with roles in top London musicals such as 'Grease' and 'Saturday Night Fever.'
During this time, Adam co-founded the dance show 'Tapdogs' with Dein Perry. Dein was the choreographer who had worked with Adam Garcia in 'Hot Shoe Shuffle.' In 2000, Adam starred in the film 'Bootmen' which was a film inspired by the Tapdogs story.
Adam Garcia has found mainstream fame as an actor with high profile roles in Hollywood blockbusters, 'Riding in Cars with Boys,' 'Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen' and most famously, Coyote Ugly.'
Adam recently made a UK television appearance in the hit BBC science fiction series, 'Doctor Who.' The BBC claims that Adam Garcia accepted the relatively minor part in the show because he is such a science fiction fan.
During his stage and film career, Adam Garcia has been nominated for and won a number of prestigious awards. Garcia was nominated for a sought after Olivier award for his lead role in hit musical 'Saturday Night Fever.' His achievements in both stage and screen acting to date are very impressive.
