Original Bus Tour
This hop on, hop off service allows you the freedom to explore London and the many attractions at your leisure. You can use this service to transport you around the streets of London at the same time as learning a little of the capitals history - simply board the Original Tour bus (the yellow route) at one of the many specified stops and enjoy the onboard commentary until you reach your next destination. Alternatively, stay onboard for the whole tour and take in the magical sights and sounds of London in a comfortable and secure environment.
On the Yellow Route you are guaranteed to visit Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, National Gallery, Downing Street, Big Ben, London Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Tower Bridge, Tower of London and Westminster Abbey - remember that with Holiday Extras® Theatre Breaks you can save money when visiting a number of these London attractions.
When booked as part of a London Theatre Break the entrance costs from £18 adult/£12 child.
Original Bus Tour Address and Directions
Due to several locations for boarding the Original Bus Tour, directions are determined by your choice of start location.
From Baker Street Station.... the Original Bus Tour departs from the station forecourt adjacent to Madame Tussauds. The nearest tube station is Baker Street (Metropolitan, Hammersmith and City and Circle Lines).
From Embankment Station... tours leave from Embankment Pier which is opposite Embankment station - the closest tube station is Embankment (Northern, Bakerloo, Circle/District Lines)
From Piccadilly Circus.... tours leave from close to Piccadilly Circus tube station. The nearest tube station is Piccadilly Circus (Piccadilly and Bakerloo Lines)
From Victoria and Grosvenor Gardens.... the tour departs from two locations both of which are close to Victoria Mainline station. The nearest tube station is Victoria (Victoria, Circle/District Lines)
From Trafalgar Square.... there are two departure points for Trafalgar Square - one from the Square and one from the Charing Cross Road. The closest tube station is Charing Cross (Northern and Bakerloo Lines).
From Marble Arch.... the tours depart from Park Lane close to Marble Arch station and Speakers Corner. The closest tube station is Marble Arch Exit 4 (Central Line).
Original Bus Tour Opening Hours
Buses run approximately every 15 minutes, depending on traffic, number of passengers and weather. Please be aware that advertised departure times may vary.
From Baker Street Station the first bus departs at 8.58 am, the last full tour departs at 4.48 pm - please note this is the Red Route tour
From Embankment Station the first Yellow Route tour departs at 9.57 am with the final full tour departing at 5.37 pm
The first departure for the Red Route tour is at 10.26 am and the final full tour leaves at 4.44 pm
From Piccadilly Circus the first Yellow Route departure is 8.30 am and the last full tour is at 6.20 pm
The first departure for the Red Route tour is at 9.18 am and the final full tour at 4.38 pm
First departure for the Green Route is at 9.54 am and the final full tour at 2.24 pm
First departure for the Blue Route (Eastbound) is at 8.45 am, last bus at 5.45 pm
First departure for the Blue Route (Westbound) is at 8.50 am and the last bus is at 5.50 pm
The Final complete tour for the Blue Route departs at 5.05 pm (Eastbound first)
From Victoria and Grosvenor Gardens the first Yellow Route departure is at 9.05 am and the final full tour departs at 4.25 pm
The first Red Route departure is at 8.28 am and the final full tour commences at 5.18 pm
From Trafalgar Square the first Yellow Route tour departs at 9.40 am and the final full tour at 4.50 pm
First Red Route tour departs at 9.20 am and the final full tour at 3.50 pm
From Marble Arch the first Yellow Route tour departs at 8.55 am and the last final full tour leaves at 4.15 pm
