Warwick Castle is the place to be this May half term with fun in store for all the family especially the wannabe jesters and jousters.

For the young Jesters in your family a session at the Jester Academy will be a must. The Castle Jester will be on hand to teach a variety of skills including plate spinning, juggling and Diablo that are guaranteed to amuse and entertain. This is one class where clowning around is expected.

Training of a different kind will be provided at the Jousting Academy. Warwick Castle's resident knights will be on hand to train the junior jousters the kills they need - jousting on hobby horses, hooking suspended rings with lances and perfecting aim by striking the rotating quintain in a specially created arena.

Jousting in a realistic setting will be seen over the Bank Holiday too as Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick, will battle against his arch enemies for control of the castle. The events will be presided over and commentated on by the soon to be Henry VI. Guests will be entertained by the castle jesters and some breath-taking trick riding before the main event.

With magnificent displays from the Winged Warriors and the castle's giant trebuchet, Warwick Castle has fun for all the family this May half term. For your low cost family break and all other news, make it easy going - make it Holiday Extras.
