Hairspray Cleans Up at the Olivier Awards

At the Grovesnor House Hotel on London's Park Lane, the winners of this year's prestigious Laurence Olivier Awards were announced. The big winner of the evening was the West End production of Hairspray. The musical picked up a whopping four awards, being named Best New Musical along with Best Actor and Actress in a Musical awards for newcomer Leanne Jones and Michael Ball with Tracie Bennet scooping the trophy for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical.

Also among the evenings winners was Andrew Lloyd Webber who was awarded the Special Award in recognition of his lifetimes work.
