Children In Need will be hitting television screens this year on November 16 at 7.00pm on BBC One with a host of entertainment for all to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people across the country. This years event will see the first UK televised performance of (I've Had) The Time Of My Life! by the Dirty Dancing Company.
At 10.40pm, when Children In Need returns after the News, the Dirty Dancing company will kick off the second half of the evening's entertainment with the show-stopping song. A performance not to be missed if you're a fan of the show or film.
The Dirty Dancing Company will be joining a wide range of special guests and performers including Kylie Minogue, John Barrowman, Spice Girls and the cast of EastEnders along with a special edition of the hit television series Doctor Who and a one-off Junior Dragon's Den.
Dirty Dancing is based on the hit film of the same name and follows Frances 'Baby' Houseman and her family on holiday at Kellerman's holiday camp. The musical shows her fall in love with streetwise dance teacher from the wrong side of the tracks. This West End sensation has been delighting audiences with every performance since opening in autumn 2006.
Across the UK, thousands of children and young people have benefited from the money raised by BBC Children In Need. Be sure to tune in on Friday and catch this special performance. To see Dirty Dancing on the West End, book your theatre break today with Holiday Extras.
