Dubai "is the future"

The city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates could be the future of tourism and investment owing to its unique proposition of attractions and atmosphere, an investment expert has claimed.

Nick Marr of Marr International, owner of overseas investment firm Homesgofast, said that Dubai could become one of the foremost international destinations for investment and relocation.

"Dubai is the future," he said. "I think it is going to be one of the most popular places in the world.

"It can offer unique things. Sports City, for example, will hold all the major tournaments. Then there are the theme parks - Dubailand will outstrip Disneyland. The plans there are absolutely massive. Everything there is ten times as big."

Mr Marr went on to explain that, of the 1.5 million people that currently make up the population of Dubai, 1.2 million are ex-pats, making it a "truly international destination".

He also enthused about the quality of the hotels and amenities in the city, which is universally high owing to the fact that Dubai is such a young destination.
