New hotel for Toronto airport

A new 12-storey, 473-room Crowne Plaza establishment is to be opened near Toronto Pearson international airport, the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced.

Due to open this month, the hotel will be the second Crowne Plaza building owned by IHG in the Canadian city.

The property is located three kilometres from the airport, close to the city's congress centre and 20 minutes from downtown Toronto.

Gina LaBarre of Crowne Plaza Hotels said: "Toronto has become a dynamic cosmopolitan hub known for its culture, sports, high fashion and big business.

"This property is conveniently located near major highways, allowing our guests easy access to everything Toronto has to offer."

Among the amenities the hotel will include are 24 one- and two-bedroom suites, a fitness centre, an indoor pool and wireless internet access.
