Toronto tourism campaign launched

The Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, Tourism Toronto and Air Canada have announced the launch of their autumn consumer campaign in the UK.

This will be the fourth year that the promotional initiative has been used in Britain, with a focus on encouraging British consumers to visit Toronto, possibly for a pre-Christmas shopping break.

Among the issues highlighted by the campaign will be the ease of reaching the city, the range of entertainment and cultural options on offer and its proximity to the Niagara Falls.

London workers and commuters are the most likely to come into contact with the campaign, with billboards being put up across mainline train stations from September 10th.

People aged between 25 and 55 – 30 per cent male, 70 per cent female – will be the central target audience for the promotions.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and is located on the north-western shore of Lake Ontario.
