George goes country-hopping across Europe

George Clooney has been travelling across Europe to attend two film festivals.

Movie star George Clooney has been enjoying the best that Europe has to offer, hopping from Venice to the town of Deauville on France's northern coast, according to reports.

The Hollywood A-lister stopped off in Italy to make an appearance at the Venice Film Festival before heading to the Normandy region to attend a rival to the Italian event, Hello Magazine reports.

Clooney caused a stir on the way, with pictures showing him sharing a kiss with brunette girlfriend Sarah Larson at a party following the screening of his new film Michael Clayton.

Italy is one of the Ocean's Eleven star's favourite stomping grounds, with a Villa beside the country's Lake Como on his list of properties.

The actor is not the only celeb to have made the trip to Venice, of course, with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie putting in an appearance.

Legendary director Woody Allen also made the journey to the popular city, along with Ewan McGregor and Colin Farrell, the stars of his latest movie.
