World leader turns action man on holiday
As if running one of the largest countries in the world was not exciting enough, Russia's president needed some adventure on his recent holiday.
Hello! magazine reports that Vladimir Putin and Prince Albert of Monaco took a holiday together to Siberia and it was far from dull.
As well as enjoying a spot of fishing, the pair took to the water and rafted down a river in an inflatable raft.
After the hectic day, Putin and the Monegasque royal relaxed like true wilderness experts - sitting under the stars and cooking some food on an open fire.
Recently, an industry expert suggested that families were becoming increasingly adventurous when planning holidays with their young children.
Lucy Ace, managing director of Take the Family, explained that her company has seen people opting for trips to South America and the Far East with their infants.
She added: "We even have infant adventure holidays where children over one year old can enjoy Jordan and the Dead Sea, or the pyramids in Egypt."
