The airport's first commercial flight took place in April 2005, and as of August 2007 over two million passengers have flown from Doncaster Robin Hood Airport.

The airport flies passengers to many European and North African destinations including Las Palmas, Rhodes, Pisa and Sharm el Sheikh. Recently flights have been added to further afield destinations including Toronto and Islamabad.

Doncaster Airport Terminal Facilities

The Robin Hood Airport boasts many facilities including cafes, restaurants, bars and shops to entertain travelers that use the terminal. Below are a small selection of the shopping and dining facilities that visitors can enjoy at Doncaster Airport.

Baggage Allowances/Luggage Restrictions

The majority of airlines base their allowances on recommendations from the International Air Transport Association (IATA). If your hold baggage is heavier than the allowance, the airline is entitled to charge an excess baggage charge. If your cabin luggage is overweight or too big, you might be asked to check it in to the hold. If doing so takes your hold luggage above your hold baggage allowance, you might have to pay excess baggage charges.
