Cardiff International Airport have recently unveiled a series of new access schemes to comply with new European laws. The changes to the Rhoose terminal should aid “Passengers with Reduced Mobility” who plan to fly from South Wales.

The European Commission Office in Wales’ head Andy Klom revealed:

"I'm very happy that Cardiff International Airport has been so proactive in implementing the new provisions of EU legislation regarding access by passengers with reduced mobility."

The improvements include: three special assistance call points in the car parks and outside the main entrance to the terminal building; a special assistance reception desk in check-in; and additional assistance for flyers through security and the departures lounge.

Cardiff airport’s managing director Patrick Duffy commented:

"With the new facilities and services unveiled at Cardiff International Airport we’re certain that travelling through the airport will be a much easier experience and will enable passengers with reduced mobility to travel with much greater confidence."

If you're flying from Cardiff International airport, remember to pre-book your Cardiff on airport parking with Holiday Extras, the market leader. This secure car park is located within walking distance of the terminal building and offered with a best price guarantee.
