More than 90% of the 2.5 million bookings we handle every year are made on our web site making us one of the largest e-commerce businesses in the UK. Over the last year we've grown our web team to 70 people who build, support and promote some of the highest converting sites in the travel industry.

Systems Developer: salary up to £30,000 (DOE)

We have a number of exciting new developments and challenges coming up and are therefore looking to recruit a systems developer with fresh ideas to help us achieve these.

We’re looking for someone to work with a team of developers helping to build and support the systems used to drive our web sites. These include Content management systems, PPC bidding tools, Bulk e-mail systems to name just a few.

You must be an enthusiastic & communicative team member with a positive attitude, dedication and willingness to work hard often under tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have a logical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail. Experience of working in a team of developers and strong documentation skills are also important.

Key Requirements:

• Strong system design skills, working knowledge of client-server architecture and object oriented methodologies
• 3+ years experience of web development (PHP, JavaScript & CSS)
• 2+ years experience of building web systems in multi user environment
• Working knowledge of code versioning software (e.g. Subversion) preferred
• Experience of working with relational databases: DB2 (preferred), SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
• Some experience of XML and related technologies
